A contested race
The Pacific Green Party of Oregon is holding a series of debates between two candidates who are seeking the party's nomination to run for Governor. Blessed with two candidates who want the nod, the first of at least three debates has been announced. According to the Corvalis Gazette Times, "On Tuesday, candidates Joe Keating and Ed Winslow will participate in a forum sponsored by the party’s Linn-Benton chapter. The free forum begins at 7 p.m. at Westminster House, 101 N.W. 23rd St."
The article goes on to describe Keating as "62, (and) a founder of the party and well known for his leadership on environmental issues," It describes Winslow as "51, a leader among socially responsible investment executives" The forum is being moderated by Blair Bobier, the party's first nominee for Governor.
