One Reply to Salzman

Aimee Smith of the PAX Committee responded to Ms. Salzman's accusations. Her reply is, like the first post, behind the "Read more!" link without comment...

Thank you Audrey for sharing this slander and smear that Salzman is spreading.

Thanks to the NYS Greens who are willing to stand against injustice, intimidation, and religious profiling.

Salzman has crossed a line here.

Not only does she smear and slander this Muslim man facing persecution by the US government, sheis also smearing and slandering our party and advocating that the most violent organization on the planet, the US government, investigate and blacklist us.

She has crossed the line beyond disagreement over her racist bigotry to attempting to chill the speech and activities of people in this party by labeling in such a way as to invite government harassment, and possibly worse, on party members.

Her singling out for mention an Arab Muslim in our party, when he was one of three sponsors, shows her willingness to profile.

Her lack of concern for accuracy demonstrates malice. For example, Al Awda is not an Islamicist group, it is a Palestinian solidarity group that includes, with full voting rights, Christians, Jews, Muslims and others. It isn't even restricted to Palestinians. And theconclusions she draws about the Imam, even if her "evidence" is accurate, do not hold up.

What is the process for addressing such vicious political attacks against our members and against others that can facilitate the repression of the state, particularly in this climate of increasing repression?

Sincerely,
Aimee Smith
